    I just bought a special-interest motorcycle.

A Honda. A 1985. Shaft drive; hydraulic tappets (a big thing; standard on cars and rare on bikes) which means no valve adjustments.

Four cylinders and 440 pounds. Means it's a screamer.

    It was my Portland trip.

The photo is not mine, but the same and the same color.

I am a sucker for mid 80's Hondas. I own (ahem) several of them but not the 750 Nighthawk.
I had to look that one up for specifics, reminds me a little of my VT500C.
I wonder what is available in 16" front and rear tires these days...

In Portland yesterday...it wasn't overly warm by their standards, but coming out of a cold snap in the mountains...I had some outside lugging, and I was doing it in shirtsleeves. Felt GREAT. Alas and Alack, I didn't want to spend money on a motel overlooking a tent city, of which of course there are many. Nor was I going to be going for any long walks in the weak winter sunshine, when parts and times of that city are dangerous and I don't know how to read the areas.

Four weeks to the end of winter.
Sorry, just seen your post, my quote notifications are not working. It's cold here tonight, maybe a low of upper 30's and wind gust of about 20, all day. It's OK, rarely stays cold over a few days.

I had '82 900, shaft drive with 2 speed gear box. Great cruiser. Wish I kept it. Was heavy, not such a screamer, but still alright.

I don't know if it hydraulic lifters/tappets, but I do know there were wafers to keep the valves in proper adjustment, so they seat properly. I know because one valve went out of adjustment and i burnt a valve 'cause it wasn't seating properly. Fixed it myself.... wasn't too bad of a job, just complicated, took some time.

    Anyway.... that's nice. Congrats

I had the other 82 CB900, the F. Pretty quick, but handling sucked.

That's what I had, CB900. I liked it for highway cruising. Road it from MI to South Dakota Black Hills and back, twice.

    Don't know what F is
