I wasted my vote of Perot. Who was a very viable candidate until he went somewhat crazy. Although I respected his service, Perot's pick for VP made me think he wasn't that serious about winning. Considering that Biden had to go low to find a VP that wouldn't overshadow him maybe the same can be said about Kennedy's pick.

Very true! I have pondered my mistakes in voting for Ross Perot -- twice in two different presidential elections. Truthfully, given the same choices that Republicans and Democrats gave us back in the 90's, I'd probably do the same thing all over again.

I'm no political 'expert', but at this point I don't see how the RFK Jr./Shanahan ticket could possibly draw more than 5% of the popular vote, and garner no Electoral College votes at all. Plus, that tiny number of voters would come from Democrat ranks -- not Republican!

That doesn't assure a Trump victory at all, because in the 21st-century, the 'free-stuff vote' will triumph over ALL others. And, those whose primary motivation is to get as much 'free stuff' as possible from the government ALWAYS vote Democrat (no matter who is actually running)!

I was just hoping for someone that was more centrist, more well-known with a good reputation, someone that would bring a lot of credibility, experience, positivity, and knowledge to the position, possibly has a history of unifying people, and someone that I could see become the president in four or eight years after Kennedy. Shanahan doesn't really meet many of those descriptors in my opinion. Not all of her positions are bad, and she has a great American story, but she'd probably be able to accomplish more by being part of an administration in other ways, like with the EPA or the Department of Agriculture.

The Democrat Party seemed uneasy after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his choice of Nicole Shanahan as his vice president pick. According to recent reports, the Democrat National Convention has ramped up attacks on Kennedy, claiming the pair will boost former President Donald Trump’s chances of securing the 2024 election.

Pro-President Joe Biden supporters are attacking Kennedy for appointing Shanahan as his VP—a California-based attorney and progressive activist. “I am personally offended and just disgusted by his campaign,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) said during a call from the DNC. “He should be ashamed of himself. He should stop running for president.”

The threatening aspect of this parasitism is that, from what I've read, thanks to eight years under Comrade Obama, and the lingering aftereffects of the so-called "Great Recession", over 50% of American citizens now receive one or more kinds of UNEARNED government handouts.

Now, add the lavish money-printing and welfare shoveling during COVID and you've got every Democrat's ideal situation -- a population that is so thoroughly addicted to welfare programs, "subsidies", "services", etc., etc., that they are already spring-loaded to vote for whoever/whatever Democrats choose to run. As I've suggested before, that probably won't be Geriatric Joe, but what the hell... to parasitic voters, one Democrat 'sugar-daddy' is just as good as any other....
