I have long thought that when comparing the fall of Rome to a collapse of Western Civilization that our technology would accelerate the process.
I have read that letters that Romans wrote to each other discussing their decline, but said don't worry too much it will take a very long time.
We don't have that luxury.

Funny how few people really know what that means.

When you wake up one morning, the electricity is off, water still runs but pressure is down, pick up the phone it no longer works.

You walk outside and the neighbors are out there with you looking around and talking. SAY No TV, No Internet, No cellphone.

During the day you start your day as you would any day and expect things to be better at work leave in the car and encounter a roadblock you are told to return to your home immediately.

Later in the day there are official cars on on your street each with two occupants who go from door to door and some type of police who are telling everyone to remain inside till they are interviewed.

The car pulls up in front of you home the men display dept of homeland security credentials and open a book hand you some official documents and a listing of your assets as they were reported on you last tax filing documents.

You are asked to make any needed changes to them and to be sure what you report is complete and accurate.

You are then asked to present all of the owners documents for your home and automobiles, give a complete listing of all firearms within the home and any other possible weapons.

After all of this is completed you will be given a directive from the dept of justice to pack only your necessities and make your way to a particular address to be examined and get your assigned directives.

When your neighborhood is cleared the homes will be locked and boarded up, for redistribution.

As of this day you will own nothing all property and assets will belong to the presiding Monarchy as it was in 700 AD.

There will be no Welfare, no Social Security, no Medicare, no Medicaid, no insurance, no grocery store, no Wal-mart, nothing but the silence and stench of death in a few days as people start to die and are killed as they refuse to be subjugated to scum.

Banks will be closed and locked, post offices will be closed gas stations will be run by the military and all provisions will be controlled and protected with deadly force.

I would expect the number of two men getting out of cars going to houses will dwindle quickly. No way the government can implement such a plan.
