The number of rounds per weight, as if you’d be carrying them, is something to be considered, but for close range and effectiveness… you got those bases covered, I’d say.Originally Posted by Call_me_Ishmael;

Molasses. Never realized it, but yeah, that makes sense.

I’m an avid book reader, I’ve come across some great characters. One character stands out for sheer originality.
The book centres around a young northern bicycle repair man, his side hustle was burglary, when on a custom ordered acquisition job he’d eat red liquorice.

Well… I’m betting they wouldn’t be after you for your licorice. HahaOriginally Posted by Call_me_Ishmael;

There was a time when I thought black licorice was the ONLY kind of licorice.
And yes, it's GOOD. Especially in the form of "Good n' Plenty". That's the way I liked it.
"Two possibilities exist - either we are alone in the universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying. (Arthur C. Clarke)
"I do not object to the concept of a deity but I'm baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance" (Amy Farrah Fowler)
"Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society." (Anon.)
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an acquired taste. I mean I used to hate the black jellybeans, now I like them.![]()
The main flavor in licorice is the oil derived from star anise, although more traditionally they used anise seed. Both contain a flavor substance called anethole. (The two taste very similar but do have some very subtle difference in flavor)
Licorice root was traditionally used as the sweetener in old times, before they had sugar. It is very sweet but has a different sort of flavor from sugar, and its sweetness seems to linger in the mouth for a long time.
A little later in history, the next common sweetener that was used was molasses, which is mainly a form of unrefined sugar but also has its own unique flavor and adds a dark brown color.
The Dutch eat more liquorish than any country in the world
