What motivates DeSantis to run against Trump?

Why is he running? After all he asked Trump to endorse his candidacy for Governor. He wanted Trump's support. And now he opposes him?

Trump had a purpose for seeking the High Chair. It was for the good of America. To clean up the crap in our filthy and corrupt government. Does DeSantis have a purpose? A noble one? Oh, he has a slogan. To take America back. Back to what? Bush? Clinton? What?

I would like to read what folks think is behind the DeSantis candidacy. What is it, or who is it? Thanks, folks.

It makes no sense given his age and just a few months after the State of Florida re-elected him for another 4 years. He could easily do it in 2028.

The only thing I can think of is RINO anti-Trumpers are lining his pockets or he knows the deep state WILL keep Trump from running by nefarious ways. There is no other reason to betray the people that just re-elected him.
