I think a 13% federal cut was discussed at one point and I think they could handle that without missing a beat. Trim some fat. Less congressional staff with smaller offices for example, but you could cut the alphabet soup agencies twice that much and they could still function. Hell combine them, eliminate some. Do SOMETHING, but they won't.!

One of the first proposals would have cut spending back to ...last year...2022. According to the Dems then that would cause disaster to all...their favorites like children would go hungry, veterans would lose benefits, old people would lose SS etc. Imagine, even in their tirades now the scream...you can't make people look for work, while receiving unemployment.

At a minimum spending should be cut to 2019 levels with some adjustment for normal inflation but NOT to reward government for causing run away inflation
