I’ve always had mixed feelings about this case, don’t get me wrong I can’t stand Baldwin. He’s an elitist arrogant POS.

But that said, actors are not firearm experts or even competent around firearms. For the most part anyway, the Armorer is the one charged with making sure everything is safe and ready for the shoot/filming and the producers or who ever is in charge of production is responsible for hiring a competent experienced Armorer. That may of been Baldwin if he was in charge of hiring the Armorer, he would be guilty of that. If the armorer was not present the day of filming, whoever made the decision to shoot anyway is responsible.

I guess what I’m saying is I really don’t hold him responsible for the act of shooting. More whoever let the cause of events that had a live round in the gun is responsible and yes in the end it could very well be Baldwin.

Yes but if you knowingly hire an incompetent or inexperienced Armorer, who is supposed to make sure that shit don’t happen. You bare a large part of the responsibility if shit happens.

Okay I looked this up just to play it safe. An armorer is responsible for the repair, transport, storage, and safe use of all firearms on a movie set. This also applies to police armorers, military armorers, museum armorers, etc. Armorers have to be licensed especially if they handle NFA and Title 1 weapons. The problem here is that Baldwin is such a jerk and asshole that type movie armorers do not want to work with him so Baldwin hired an inexperience young woman armorer that he could brow beat and hassle on the movie set. No experienced movie armorer would have put up with his crap which is why no one wanted to work on his movie set. Remember, his whole union crew walked off the job the day or week before because of unsafe practices on the set. This is only alleged but being the jerk and asshole he is it's probably true.
