Poland and Slovakia are arming Kyiv with fighter jets. Russian warplanes are forcing American drones out of the skies. Chinese President Xi Jinping is visiting Moscow in a show of support for Vladimir Putin while Chinese companies are shipping assault weapons and body armor to Moscow’s troops. Putin’s war in Ukraine is headed into dangerous waters, and the potential for escalation with the West is higher now than at any point since the initial invasion.

Putin is fast approaching the point where he must escalate -- a LOT -- or just pack it in. So, my guess is he'll escalate, and maybe a hell of a lot more than anyone imagines....

And not necessarily with nukes, remember Berlin, Dresden... to quote Patton somewhat the Russians could have rolled through Ukraine like shit through a goose if they had decided to level military and civilian infrastructure before setting a foot on Ukrainian soil. Some lessons are never learned.

Yep. Zelensky can go "all in" because it's US taxpayers and Ukrainian ground pounders who pay the price. When Zelensky starts to run out of ammo, he simply has to get on his soapbox and convince any of 30 NATO nations that "THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING TO GET YOU".

The Black Sea is an 'international waters' sea. So, yes, if the Russians wanted to, ostensibly they could sail their ships into any of those four of the Great Lakes. I'm not a maritime lawyer, but that's way it looks to me....

BTW, if the Russians venture into Lake Michigan, we can blow their asses out of the water!
