I read a lot of foreign Press and it looks to me like the former soviet satellite countries of Georgie, Moldova, Latvia, Belarus, and Romania are either becoming destabilized or are in danger of going that way. The American Press isn't talking much about it.

Not really, Trinnity. I think Mexico will suit me for the rest of my life and I'm hoping to see the U.S. moving in a healthy direction before I die. Of course, dying gets to be more and more attractive.

No, sorry. Just start picking countries, and look for that country's english version online newspapers. Link them on your favorites list and visit them often. Read them and after a while you can get a sense of where their cultures and politics are who their leaders are etc. Beef up on the EU parliament and the EU Commission. Familiarize yourself with the major players. It's easy.
