What happens if a voter dies after they mailed in their vote and the ballot has not been counted?If Senate Bill 19 passes the Legislature and is signed by Gov. Josh Green, that vote would count.

I guess that I'm a little crazy to respond to this but here goes. I feel STRONGLY that if a person was alive when he mailed his vote in it should/must be counted. To not count it would be like taking away his American citizenship just because he died. Yes, I know, maybe that seems an extreme way of looking at it but that's what I believe. And I wonder what kind of country America would be if they basically revoke someone's citizenship because of their death? Do we dig up Arlington Cemetary because those there are no longer US Citizens?

There are a lot of those little "fine line" judgements & we have to be very careful when we make those judgements because each & every one of them can & will be expanded in a court of law to include all sorts of laws that they shouldn't have been used for. Yes, they may be bastardized over time but we have to make sure that they start off right.

Before the last election my most important duty after I got my mail in ballot was to fill that sucker out & mail it just in case I might die before the election. I may not be in the military any longer so I feel voting is the best weapon that I have to protect my country.

It's not about 'a vote'.
It's about opening the door to harvesting names from recent death rolls and casting votes with them. With impunity since the 'voter' isn't available for further inquiry.
