The final end of story Chrysler shut the 52 st engine plant down for good..

With the "Help" of The City & State .

Now almost 15 years later a giant "empty" 6x8 blocks abandoned piece of Property..

Even sadder about 2000 Chrysler building a brand new section tore down half a neighborhood stuck like half a billion Dollars into it just shut it all down..

Back in 1973, when I hired on for factory work, I often joked, that I got hired because they were taking everyone. I said, you didn't even have to be breathing, if you were still warm ... good enough.

The guy in line for a physical, right behind me, was unable to even fill out the application. Some HR guy walked side by side with him to fill out the application as we all progressed in line.

They took 20 of us down to another building, lined us up against the wall, and counted off 1-2-3-4-12, you come with me, you are welders. So much for career choice. What a great career it was!

All those jobs are in Mexico now.
