I landed a good job, took my piss test yesterday but am low on funds right now. I had 40 dollars in the bank but she needed her phone card 5 minutes ago. It hasn't been on for 5 weeks, but she needed it NOW. So I capitulated and the card they gave her aint working for some reason, she has to go back to the store and find out whats up, but she needed cigs yesterday, I told her "I'd have money for cigs, if you didn't need that phone card NOW, 5 minutes ago, cant wait one more second for it".

She actually admitted she should have listned to me.
FYI I dont get email notifications anymore for some reason, if you want me to respond to something you'll need to type @Frankenvoter in the text so I see the mention which I still get.

I remember the days where some of those skilled workers were getting new cars every two years. Relatively speaking, cars were cheap. And new cars every two years meant there were plenty of great, low mileage used cars running around. None of the 6 years loan payoff stuff, with used cars having over 150K miles on them. Cars didn't last much more than 100K, but that was alright. They were still good value. Some of the new cars going for over $100K now?? Seriously?? Who the hell can afford that??

And you could fix those cars. And when the oil usage got too bad, junkyards had used engines for reasonable prices. And you could swap out that 283 for a 327, or with some skill, even a 396! Kids learned skills working on those things. Kids learned to read Chilton manuals. Friends were needed for two man jobs.

And none of us were married to any electronic devices. Now it is slaves to the machines.
They weren't "Indecisive" like people today..

Could show ya around find your "Nitch" & 2/3/4 weeks see if ya show up on time everyday day ya we're "In The Door"

The outsourcing of America was the greatest mistake ever made, especially the parts for anything that we need for any part of our security.

The selling of land in this country to any noncitizen is also a mistake we should never have started.

A foreign citizen, corporation or any type of entity should have to lease with an option to terminate for cause at anytime.

PS.my wifes cousin has two later model Javelins like the Alabama State Troopers used as pursuit vehicles before the Mustangs, they topped out about 140 with the 400 in them. Just not enough to catch the long leggers that would turn 7500 in high with a 2:73 and 29" tires.
Best Barbacoas & Carnitas ever had was Roach Coach Laredo Texas set up down street our terminal..

When customs shut Border down be waiting all weekend before the Mexican Truck cross the border switch trailers haul @$$ back up to Kenosha or Toledo Jeep Facility like ya we're a Team Truck "Solo" but "Paper" Logbooks them. Days

Karl you ever think about the tankers hauling slurry for fracking? You can make a lifetimes worth of payday in three years with a couple of those companies.

I gave up my HazMat and don't care to go through the test and background or I would have gone out there when they started paying the big bucks for it.

It is a on time run as soon as one unhooks the other has to be sitting there not too long before, not after at all.

I'm a "Ex-Convict" way back in the day..

Nonetheless I can't get the "Haz-Mat" or TWIC Card that's for borders & "Customs"..

So it's Dry Van or Reefer West-Coast Turn-A-Round for me .

Alotta family & and friends ask me why not be "Local"..

Ya where I live is I-94 the Chicago/Milwaukee Corridor ..

You'll that freaking mess everyday and on the Southside Chicago trying swing a "Blindsided "Alley-Dock" off the streets traffic coming buy ya both ways and they in a Big fat freaking HURRY don't give a crap ya just trying hit this place..

That's why "Over-The Road" always worked out better for me .

On a a West Coast Turnaround or Auto Parts Laredo Texas terminal ya just make the "APPOINTMENT " ya got 3/4 days ain't even gotta talk 2 "nobody " ..
