When in 2004 as I had just closed on this place...the old guy that sold it to me was from..."Hoot, mon. Scotlind!" Great bloke. I found a Scottish deli on the GC and bought a haggis and a desert called, 'slice'.

He was...80-ish and was near to tears that I brought him a haggis. Nope...I never had any before. Nevertheless..."Laddy!!! I have a nice drop to go with that!" He toasted some crusty Italian bread and wiped a thick blade of the haggis on it...and poured me a "not small" Scotch.

I loved it! Like liverwurst...sort of. Haven't had any, since...but...yeah @East of the Beast...ya got that one! Nope, not hankerin' for more...but.......it was good treat.

Old Tom, he was known as. Homesteaded my place. RIP....
Eh! What else can I say???

    Stronger stomach than me.

I'll do a lot to honor my betters, or someone who's doing me right. But I believe God gave me a nose and eyes to AVOID some things. Like, back in the Carternomics depression of the late 1970s...I had a colleague who'd eat duck eggs for lunch. GOD, did they STINK.

And I never, ever learned to like organ meat. No...just no.

That might make the coming years interesting; but if it's any consolation to me, I'm about nine-tenths of the race done, anyway. The ending, although I don't know the specifics, is pretty-much ordained.

Well if and when I ever indulge in a good whiskey it would be Crown Royal.Actually it’s a blended whiskey but man is it smooth.

Drink enough and it don't matter, "FOOD!?! We don't need no stinkin' food!"
It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them. Mark Twain

I keep two halfs of original CR all the time, a Half of Old number 8 Old Charter (the replacement brand of Old Charter), a half of Beam, and a half of Dark Bacardi since 151 is Gone to Whiskey heaven.

I drink them with no mixer but a little coffee sometimes.

Most definitely gravy made from the drippings. Sometimes wild rice and quinoa in place of the mashies.
