    That's so true.

    Goldwater was an Episcopalian.

Christ did not preach for his followers to get involved in Roman politics, nor any kind of politics. I'm aware as you probably are too, of Romans 13:1-7. It's one of the most puzzling passages in the NT for me. Read literally, the Colonists were wrong to declare independence from Britain. But, I don't believe they were.

I believe Christians can serve in governments, but should not use government to decide whose religious beliefs should prevail, because, as Goldwater said, compromise is required in a republican form of government. Otherwise, a group that believes IT speaks for God and won't compromise turns a republican form of government into a theocracy.

Theocracies are notorious for denying The People their rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They are to be avoided, and every one of our Founders would concur.

That's exactly why we had Trump for four years. Don't try to say he's a moral person, please.

You lose the 10 commandments and what is left for people to live together in a neighborhood or a nation?
Golly, yes. Especially the second commandment where a violation brings punishment not just to you but to your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Punishing children for a parent's sin is great, isn't it? And honoring your father, even if he's Joe Biden or mother, even if she's Hillary Clinton. In fact, the first four commandments have nothing to do with morality or a society that is just.

For me, the Constitution is what we should be following.

I grew up in the South when killing blacks was accepted but opening your business on the Sabbath wasn't. I would prefer relying on decent people rather than religion. Garner Ted Armstrong and Bill Clinton have a lot in common. I wonder how many preachers have preyed on their flock like Joe Biden preys on other men's wives and children.

Press your Mao suit. Godless people have no actual morality with irrevocable limits.
