Its a guarantee the deed will be done. If you try it yourself you make chicken out or the bullet may only turn you into a vegetable or the poison will be so painful for a long period of time. In Canada, where guns are almost completely outlawed the Government has established euthanasia centers that allow people to take their own lives with medical supervision. No gun necessary. So far 31 thousand have availed themselves of this "benefit".

It's not the government's place either to assist someone in suicide or prevent it.

If we have to outlaw guns because a few weak-minded people having a bad day may blow their brains out, then we would have to ban knives, ropes, toxic chemicals, etc. because people can and do kill themselves with all those things.

Personally, I'm in favor of separating the strong from the weak. The government has been suppressing Darwinism for far too long, and that's partly why we're in such a mess today.

Being as both suicide and assisted suicide are illegal there has to be gov't intervention and of course, regulators live to regulate.

True, I've only ever shot LR .22s. Without hearing protection of course.

In a self defense situation, without ear protection, 22lr will do immensely less damage than 9mm or 357.

I believe that eight rounds of Federal 22 Punch from a snubbie, rapidly delivered, into a four inch circle will do about the same damage a one round of 12 gauge #8 buckshot.
