When I grew up, in Memphis-1940s, every classroom had a photo of Abraham Lincoln. I think it was required as part of reconstruction. Didn't work. We were far more concerned with the estimated 750,000 deaths in the War Between the States. The 38 Dakota Indians weren't a drop in the bucket. And, the dying in the South didn't end with the war.

I am all for Lincoln's statues being defaced or removed. If one believes that the concept of "war criminal" is valid he fits every definition.

I put a penny on a railroad track once and my son uses it as a guitar pick…..does that count?

we used to do that in oregon,,,sometimes you never found them.....the trains were so long and slow you could use them to ride from town to town...


we would tape .22 shells in a row on the tracks and the train would fire them like a gatling gun...
