Yes, wherever hell appears it's an inexact translation of Sheol, OT, or. Hades, Gehenna, or Tartarus, NT, as you noted and none describe the eternal hell the Roman/Carthaginian school invented. Indeed, modern Bible translators have turned away from using the term "hell"

Four taught universal salvation: the Alexandria, Caesarea, Antioch, and the Eastern Syrian schools. One, the Asia Minor school, taught the annihilation of the sinner. A lengthy discussion on this issue could be had indeed. However, no one knows what occurs at death. Many who survive being temporarily "dead" report a "life review." Who knows what happens in those milliseconds?

My point is: The Gospel preached by the eternal torment churches is NOT the Gospel taught by Christ and his Apostles. Clear universalist passages exist. I could give you many more than I gave.
