    Ways to find water

I was out and about on foot yesterday, and when doing this I often see things that can't be easily observed from behind a wheel.

First, there was a woman in business dress with a baby in a stroller holding a sign at an intersection and near a gas station reading "Single mom, please help".

I went and accomplished my mission and while returning saw an unattended shopping cart in the same place as the single mom was with her stroller.

Alarmed, I quickly started looking for her, since the cart was covered with a couple of towels and I feared that I had misidentified the cart for a stroller and a baby was inside!

I saw a shirtless man at the gas pumps filling a water bottle with the water you can use to clean your windshield and connected him with the cart.

I continued my journey and found the single mother who had moved herself and baby to a potentially more lucrative spot.

Where would you find water when the SHTF?

Water infrastructure brought to you by Democrats.

So yeah, there are a lot of blue States. What would we do for water? I live by the Rio Grande River but I'm not sure drinking directly from the river is the best option.

Visit your nearby Outdoor, Hunting, Fishing, Equipment store.

Purchase Water purifying tools. And maybe some Iodine tablets. \

    No big challenge.

Our drinking water comes from 2 nearby lakes. Plus I have 5 rain barrels. And yes I know how to purify the water.

Less than a mile there is a river. I have filters good enough to make it safe to drink. I have a utility E-bike that I can use to carry the river water home. Got 83 gallons of water bricks to carry it in.

Sometimes there's water in a drainage ditch across the street. I can filter that too but I'd prefer to run it through reverse osmosis equipment if I can collect enough. Two thirds of what I put through the equipment will be waste water. Then there is the well and the pump.

If I can't use the RO system, I'll filter and run it through a UV sterilizer.

Good to keep around. in my backpack or saddlebags, I carry them in the wild along with a water purifier ( it's small equipment) ... If needed I can drink cleaned urine. Anywhere near a water puddle of any type becomes potable.
