She got that right. Pelosi has now completed an utterly "stupid, dangerous and unnecessary gamble", and for what earthly purpose?


Mainly to provide obeisance to the dead hand of history, we’d say. Indeed, there is no more egregious case of the latter than Washington’s 75-year obsession with the political status of Taiwan.

A law that was put in place to appease a situation at a given time does not mean that that law is still relevant. I have said many times on here that I believe we have too many marriage laws on the books. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the church allowed the government to hijack marriage. Now, should there be no marriage laws at all? Obviously, having legal documentation so that you have power of attorney is useful.

Your attempt to whitewash against a legal Congressional law signed by the President in December 1978 looks silly since it is the LAW that still in force today.
