Should secession be legal?

I've never thought it was viable, or, at least very problematic for several reasons I've put out there before.

Now - in this climate?! Not a chance. Nice idea. Good on paper. But reality, I think the "woke" would squish any State that did that, or even any group of states that did that - like a bug.

The international woke trading. The international big tech woke. Local woke. Bordered woke States to whichever one(s) seceded. Woke banks. Jesus...look what they do NOW to people and nations? Woke intel agencies. Not even getting into the paid activists...who would be getting ways to derail your trains, and sabatoge your ports, etc, etc.

Secession, is the act of separating from the Union government.

Whether the Union thinks it's legal or not, doesn't matter. The whole ACT OF SECESSION is a REJECTION of their law and government!

Long ago in the dark ages I went to school & passed (surprise!). In history I remember being taught that Texas was the only state that could "legally" leave the union. If I remember right it had something to do with it being a country before it joined the US. Is that true, I have no idea but that's what I remember.
