Tell me "something" keep me "Sober" Today

About a week ago I went 2 a "Meeting"..

My "Sponsor" also there ..

After the meeting "Ya been SOBER"..

UH eh ya .

Don't "Lie" 2 me..

I don't care other people in there IM YOUR SPONSOR don't ya dare..

I asked what gave it "Away"..

He said ya didn't look me in the Eyes & ya tried change subjects..

Really didn't care that I had "Strayed"..

Just be "Honest" I'm your freaking SPONSOR

Also just way I'm "acting"..

Knows me with Real Clean "Time"..

Ya don't smell of booze I can just "Tell" by your "Personally..

When ya trying make "effort" ya Gr8..

Fall off the Tracks not only me "Everybody " Else can tell too

Not everyone, but all who have been there whether they make the meetings or not.
I have have a lot of friends on that side of the fence. I was a non drinking alchy.

I didn't drink much, but when I did I either drank two and quit, or I drank gallons and stayed out of everything for a while for a while till I woke up somewhere and closed MY bar.

What SCARED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME was one time I woke up went about my usual regrouping and as everyone who loses time like that does and I got some Deja Vu and thought I had done something.

It was like a real life dream in my head all of a sudden.

I went to the places in was my head and checked it all out and it was just a weird dream.

One of my friends that was good to party but never got bad like that said hell we were not anywhere around the place I said we were going to look.

The days after when you get something like that can be HELL on your party sense.
It made me aware that I could have done anything while I was absent.

I don't drink much anymore, but when I do I stay sober and leave the highball glass at home unless there is someone doing the leading and driving.

I'm beyond "scare" thy $hit outta me Used smoke CRACK got a Rap sheet welp back in the day a "Jacket" in a File Cabinet Downtown..

But my "Sponsor" Never done anything BAD 2 Me even kinda Held my Hand when I first started going back 5/6years ago..

I can't look him in the eyes and LIE ..

He also "Know" if I ain't looking him in the Eyes.

Just Knows that I've "F-Worded" Up...

Basically when I was doing "Okay" or Good I'd look him in the EYES when we would Speak....

Minus that are ya IN or ya OUT..

NOT 4 ME ya gotta Do It 4 "YOU"..

Don't know if this will help, think of the wretched nauseous feeling that you have when you get up in the morning. Also the other problems in your life which are smoothed over when you drink are still there after. I am not knocking AA but it didn't work for me. I am still trying to quit cigarettes. Gosh I think of every single pack of Cigarettes bought..

Up here they like $8/$9 a pack now or $80 a Cartoon..

All that $$$ wow I could just "Strange" my own self there..

That said in "Program" it's about Clean & Sober don't yell at ya about stepping outside have a smoke..

Oh "Coffee"..

They don't like it when I get All "Whacked" Out on the Coffee..

We even hadda "Discussion" once are ya "Replacing" for Something Else..

So if "Morning" meeting 1 cup that's it..

Evening Meeting I do a Bottle Water or Can of Pop..

I thought that AA teaches "one day at a time".

Your sponsor could facilitate this mindset by asking, "have you been sober today?"

If you're like me, there is always an "out".

I think it was after I got a drunk in public and was going to AA, a relative asked me to promise that I wouldn't drink that day.

I did.

Then I proceeded to drive to a fish restaurant that sold beer.

I bought lunch and drank a beer with my meal.

See? I didn't "drink". I had a beer while eating!

They call drinking beer "eating bread".

Drinking means vodka.
