George Floyd (whom he killed) was not exactly an altar boy--to phrase it as politely as possible. (Actually, he was a small-time thug.)

But Derek Chauvin (the Minneapolis policeman who placed his knee upon Floyd's neck for roughly nine minutes) was not blameless here, either.

Floyd whimpered "I can't breathe!" several times during that incident. Chauvin should have responded appropriately.

Being a thug (as Floyd certainly was) does not excuse these horrific actions.

Rubbish.If he couldn't breathe he couldn't keep talking, and his blood oxygen levels was 98%. He had a drug overdose, and that is the facts. He ate a bunch of dope when he saw the cops pull up.

But that is the issue isn't it? Leaders that have gone on before us didn't care about support. How much or lack of support didn't matter. Truth is truth, right is right no matter if you stand alone or with others.

What you're bringing to light is the right wing in their own way is just as spineless as the left wing.

I'm not a fan of the JWs theology, but one has to admire their willingness to stand up to totalitarian regimes, something most Christians used to be famous for. It's just time to acknowledge the fact that without Christians with a spine this country went down fast. I doubt it will recover; the Davos Set and Wall Street have decided the U.S. is going to follow the Red Chinese govt. model, and there is no real opposition to that operation.

Did you stop to think that he could, perhaps, exhale just a very small amount--enough to spit out a few words, with considerable difficulty--but not enough to sustain life?

To reiterate: I am certainly not in the same camp with those who wish to make a hero of sorts out of George Floyd--he was about as far from that as, say, Canada's Northern Territories are from Antarctica--but I do not condone the actions of this officer, either. (By the way, he is now serving prison time for his actions here.)

No matter the serious impact upon people, society's and cultures - they have NOTHING to say.
