Anyway,.... sometimes it does come down to voting for the lesser of two evils.... but with enough support: good politicians (with their heart and mind in the right place) can be elected.

Been saying it for years. Primary the rinos out.

People are finally starting to do that.

The GOP is just on the democrat slow train. They are progressive lite.

Exactly why should I just blindly vote for the GOP?
I'm not a fan of Cornyn but that isn't what he said.

I'll vote for those that deserve my vote.

Lets go to the extreme and pretend Cornyn is up for election and no Republican votes for Cornyn. The R's just sit it out and make it clear they will not vote for a RINO - period. What do you think will happen?

First, it means elections really do matter, the incumbent is not guaranteed a win, campaign money and PACS are not a factor, and voters have to be won over by actions and by following through on their promises. And Republicans in office better do what their people want them to do.

Second, the GOP would be terrified. I imagine the establishment GOP (like McConnell) would be removed as leader immediately. GOP would get a spine because their political necks are on the block.

Yes the Democrats would get power for 2 years, but after that the D's would be swept off the platform and there would be real reform.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.

I've been politically active since my mid-20's. Today, people can make a big difference locally, less so at the state level, and have almost zero influence at the federal level.

As I see it the only way out of the national predicament is for local communities to act independently of the feds and force the state to do the same. If enough states stop being simple administrators of DC diktats, disobey DC, and do whats best for the state - some call it a soft seccession - thats when the national condition can be changed.

Where did you get the goofy idea that taking over the Republican Party would be easy?
Marxists, Socialists, Democrats, Russians, and the legacy media.

They lie all the time. They lie about everything.

They know they are lying. We know they are lying. They know we know they are lying.

They lie anyway. It's what they do.
