So tell me, why -are- you a member of the UN technical arm, as you say?

I was... for 20 years. My company was a member and I was a named member of the ITU representing my company as an engineer. We did business in radio and digital communications and the ITU developed standards . It was relevant. I also used ITU documents prior to that membership because the old ITU actually did good technical work. But there are other international organizations that could accomplish the same thing. No need to do it under the UN where wokeness and anti-american and anti-israel sentiment is strong.

I've stated my position. The UN does us no good. You can yammer on if you like. I'm done. You'll soon start to whine and report me anyhow. I'd rather not deal with you at all @phoenyx .

So you're admitting that it was relevant. I maintain that it still is, in some ways. It certainly has flaws. We may not agree on what those flaws are, but I firmly believe that it's an organization that shouldn't be thrown away, but improved upon.

This may astonish you, but I agree. It was a decent idea that came out of Bretton Woods, but by the early 1950s is had rotted into garbage, and has made no effort to repent is evil ways.

I would pay double income taxes to get to turn the detonator to demolish the Turtle Bay roach motel.
Marxists, Socialists, Democrats, Russians, and the legacy media.

They lie all the time. They lie about everything.

They know they are lying. We know they are lying. They know we know they are lying.

They lie anyway. It's what they do.

Yep.... all birds of a feather. Ukraine, Deep state, Biden, Soros, UN, and several right here in this forum. All saying the same thing.

No further questions. You've identified where you stand.

I was a member of the UN technical arm "international telecommunications union" for 20 years. I know exactly what the UN is. You think it's a reputable organization. Hahahahahahahahaha...
Why do you talk like a Russian citizen?
I only vote for Republicans. I do not support Biden. Biden will never be supported by me.

He is upset the UN refuses to support Putin.

Should we quit being party to it? I do not mind us getting out.

But that does not mean I switch to supporting Putin. Hell no on that.

Did you read her book? By Nikki Haley? She lashed out at the UN. When groups form clubs, as the UN has, I never expect top performance from them. I would remove the US from that club frankly. Nikki came down on it as well.

But we have posters enamored with Putin who tell us daily how correct he is and the rest of us are turds.

    No thanks.

Here is a major problem I have with the UN. Compromise. That sums up a huge problem. It means a good idea is backed down and down to some unreasonable position due to compromise. Russia gets more of it's way that way as does Europe.

Our people end up not representing the US completely since they compromise.

Hit a nerve I see. How the hell can you justify the invasion by Putin? Easy, there is no justification. Putin is a frigging outlaw.
