I was... for 20 years. My company was a member and I was a named member of the ITU representing my company as an engineer. We did business in radio and digital communications and the ITU developed standards . It was relevant. I also used ITU documents prior to that membership because the old ITU actually did good technical work. But there are other international organizations that could accomplish the same thing. No need to do it under the UN where wokeness and anti-american and anti-israel sentiment is strong.

So you're admitting that it was relevant. I maintain that it still is, in some ways. It certainly has flaws. We may not agree on what those flaws are, but I firmly believe that it's an organization that shouldn't be thrown away, but improved upon.

Did you read her book? By Nikki Haley? She lashed out at the UN. When groups form clubs, as the UN has, I never expect top performance from them. I would remove the US from that club frankly. Nikki came down on it as well.

Here is a major problem I have with the UN. Compromise. That sums up a huge problem. It means a good idea is backed down and down to some unreasonable position due to compromise. Russia gets more of it's way that way as does Europe.

Our people end up not representing the US completely since they compromise.
