People have been arrested, according to the letter, but no one ever goes to trial and most don't go to jail.


When I was working a woman complained about gang members in her neighborhood getting arrested and were back on the block the next morning. She complained to the D.A.s office and was told, "See the police." She said the police were arresting them. "Then talk to the judges." She went to the courthouse and was told, "Go see the police." Police arrest them and they're out the next morning. "Go see the probation office. They do pretrial release recommendations." She went to probation. "Go see the police."


Bottom line, the DAs aren't doing their job, the judges aren't doing their job, the probation/pretrial release folks aren't doing their job, the damned politicians are only working hard at getting wealthy and they all say, "Go see the police."
