Walmart security guard and robbery suspect exchange gunfire in parking lot

KENNEWICK, WA An armed shoplifter and a security officer exchanged gunfire on Black Friday in the parking lot of the Kennewick Walmart, sending fearful shoppers and employees running for safety.
Robbery suspect Alexander Richard Yell, 31, was the only one wounded after reportedly being shot two to three times at close range, according to initial broadcast reports.
Yell, who has a long history of troubles with police, was apparently bleeding from his arm and leg when he drove away, showing up a few minutes later at a girlfriend’s home in Kennewick.

Last week there were two Sharif deputies at the entrance that I went through. May have been some at the other entrance also but I didn't go out that way so I don't know.

If there were deputies there they were looking for someone, whether it be a thief or fugitive that someone reported

    Oh my gosh!

I was there that morning with my teen daughters......

Apparently, this happened after I left.

In climate research and modelling, we should recognise that we are dealing with a coupled non-linear chaotic system, and therefore that the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible.

My wife worked at a Wal-Mart, they had a shootout right next to her office in the back and there were about 100 shots exchanged. A man came in with an automatic shotgun and started shooting, the jail is right beside the store and in a few minutes, he was holed up in the back corridor and they Swiss cheesed him. He shot one deputy and the chief of police not too serious, single pellet buck for the Chief, and the Deputy got two in the calf.
    THERE can be only ONE!

This could be seriopusly problematic for the LPO.

The guard, who had a concealed gun carry permit, told police he pulled out his own gun and shot Yell two to three times at close range, according to dispatch broadcasts.
As a rule the only armed security Walmart allows are the Off Duty Cops, they hire. If he was not licensed by the state as an Armed guard he could well face charges and likely fired by Walmart unless this store actually hired him for an Armed Security Position.

If he's not licensed by the state as armed security it's a Cinch this one is going to Cost Walmart at least six or seven figures.

Too bad that in all too many cases the law protects the criminals rather than the innocent.
