    "Most people want to avoid...

    ...political discussions at Thanksgiving dinner.

"Most Americans are not in the mood discuss politics at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year, a Quinnipiac Poll released this week found."
Poll: Two-Thirds of Americans Hope to Avoid Politics at Thanksgiving

The hope of avoiding political discussions is held by all across the board, as 66 percent of Democrats, 69 percent of independents, and 68 percent of Republicans agreed that they are “hoping to avoid” political discussions this year."

I had to deal with this a week ago when a Democrat I'd been meeting for lunch once a week announced he didn't want to discuss politics with me because we'd never agree. I gave it some thought and decided that we couldn't talk about anything, even down to the weather, since everything has been politicized. The open border and both illegal and unregulated immigration can't be discussed, crime can't be discussed, inflation can't be discussed, shortages in stores can't be discussed, health care can't be discussed, unemployment can't be discussed, schools and education can't be discussed. Not even the weather can be a table topic.

Are millions going to be mumbling, "Good turkey, nice mashed potatoes." Of course, someone would say, "Not for the turkey it isn't good."

Agreed it's a day for family. Talk about your jobs, kids, vacations or football.

I'm not allowed to talk about how I'm not eating the turkey, not because I'm a commie pinko dem vegan, but because I don't like all the growth hormones being pushed into our food by commie pinko dems?

My upcoming retirement will be a topic and it is political.

Biden decided that my services are no longer needed. My work group is in a panic over it because I'm taking 32 years of experience with me. My closest replacement has 10 years experience.
I never called you a VAXhole. You ASSumed that I did. Your self-ASSumed guilt is your problem and not mine.

It takes a FAMILY to raise a child--Not Hitlery Klinton's Socialist, Anti-Family, Nanny-State...I mean, "Village".

Islam is a religion of violence and terror as practiced by the Islamofascists. The Muslims that do speak out against terror are then terrorized by the Islamofascists and are ignored by the Lap Dog Media.

    I'm in my 60's I'm thinking a little growth hormone can't hurt.

Not a problem at our house, leftists not welcome there. This is no longer just about partisan politics. If you support OBuyden and the Democrats you are not going to sit at my table.

You realize that's exactly what the want , right? That divisionism only serves pundits, activist and career politicians?

Of course, if you're one of the tens of thousands who lost their jobs thanks to the corrupt, senile pervert in the White House it will get political or if you're a young person choosing not to work because you can get along on what the Democrats will give you that gets political, too. And kids. You can't talk about schools that transfer rapists to another school as in Loudoun County or schools across the country that let pedophile teachers leave and go to another school district. Or, will it be, "Guess what the teacher said about oral sex on the remote learning". If vacations get to where you're allowed to go and how long do you have to quarantine and do you have to be vaccinated that will get political. And football? Did you hear the "Let's go, Brandon" and the game last weekend?"

    Good luck avoiding politics.

I've changed my own personal rules in this regard. With close friends and family we don't talk much politics anyway so I keep that light and easy, maybe toss in a question every now and then to see what happens. Essentially, those within "the circle" get a pass since there is no advantage to starting a war.

Those outside "the circle" is where I've changed my rules. They better look out because I'm loaded for bear and won't pull my punches.
