We cut the cord about 2 years ago. unfortunately to get the programs the wife wants we subscribe to SLING, which isn't the greatest but not too expensive a lot cheaper than dish or direct tv.

For local news I use an antenna. Unless you are really out in the country you should be able to pick up most of the major channels the majority in 1080p.

Like old Sgt. Joe Friday I just want the unadulterated facts, I'll provide my OWN "analysis".

This is where I'm getting the free streaming AMC, FOX, Discovery, Travel, CNN, MSNBC, and other channels.

I will be enjoying the liberal tears on election night, you can damn sure bet on that.

This is off topic but I live in Oaxaca, Mexico, and wonder if 50Mbps download speed is considered fast in the U.S.?

    50Mbs is fast...They have one-gigabyte-per-second speeds now
but i would think that would fry ones brain...just look at the youngsters who walk around lookin at their phone all day

I can live with 3Kbs to 72Kbs with a 50 mile straight line ship to shore repeater...many times on the old 2G, 3g
or sometimes newer wcdma 4G channel >>> depends on the weather and how much ISP-Network-Tracking one has to block

I run a bare-bones system...in other words when accessing this site it looks like 1980's MS-DOS > no pictures, photo's
    just simple print.

Once in a while I can access low resolution videos but it's
not that important...I live and thrive on audio

No TV news for me. In fact, I don't watch any network television. There's nothing I want to watch. My only sources of entertainment are the Internet, music, video games and the occasional DVD.

If you have a good, fast, fiberoptic or radio internet connection it works pretty well.

Anyone know which one for the Oz / Fetterman debate? I'm thinking CSPAN for sure.

I think the industry is shooting themselves in the foot and going "woke" didn't really help either. This is also meta because the channels they give airtime to also have woke ownership, and there is even a tight vertical integration.
