When the slaves had appreciated (about?) a month in the hold of a slave steamer and pens of the south coast they were very appreciative of the Massa freeing them from the joys of African liegemanship/cannibalism/doing exactly what the chieftain opined.

They even got better than a mud hut/jungle bivouac.

Seriously, does no one think that if the 'powers that be' can fake through the Biden election to the White House that they didn't fake the Kenyan Obama's Hawaiian birth certificate?

Yep, they love to be on stage and make the fans happy. They are all deep in their 70's and still packing arenas. Jagger is truly amazing with his stamina on stage.

Maybe they will call it quits after this tour with the loss of Charlie, but I wouldn't bank on it.

With modern technology, they could probably just use holograms of themselves.

I feel that way about The Simpsons, too. They've been making an uproar over Apu and other non-white characters for years. They should just cancel the show already and avoid tarnishing their legacy even further by trying to go more P.C., which is pretty much the antithesis of what the show was originally supposed to represent.
They may be done after this tour, but tickets had been sold and I'm sure they want to honor them.

Oh, it gets better! These fools are setting the stage for their own destruction and they aren't capable of understanding it. By their demands, a person - say Gruden - is criminally liable for not being able to know what standards will be acceptable, years into the future. That stuff may seem "righteous" to them today but when it's inevitably used against THEM someday... oops...

Saw the Stones just before the pandemic hit. Really was a great concert.

the Stones should change the name of their tour to: we're only in it for the money.
sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most.

The Stones , like a lot of old rock bands, keep going because they like performing. That what drives the majority of musicians, and its simply untrue to believe otherwise. Mick Jagger alone is worth more than $500m, the money is irrelevant to him.

@Moonie I find you PM baffling. WTH are you talking about?

It's funny to me how when the Stones were coming up, Rock was rebellious and they didn't care what the establishment said or did. Now look at them. Pandering to the Leftist agenda and Cancel Culture. Yuck.
