80 police visits to their homes, maybe the parents should have known something wasn't right and maybe searched their rooms?
Two potential mass murderers when they are grown.

When my grandpa bought property in Lehigh Acres, it was a sleepy little retirement village. Obviously, that was a long time ago. I really enjoyed visiting and hanging with the old folks. So many stories.

Now, probably just another meth and gang infested south Florida dump. 80 visits total to two homes? Where are the rest of the rug rats tonight? How old are the moms? Let me guess, both under 30?

And ... I am shocked we get to see their faces!

Yeah, '80 visits' is a clear signal, at maybe the 4th call. They should have been removed far earlier, and they should now pullout the stops to find out where they got all the weapons ASAP and start hauling in every asshole involved there, kid or no.

A lot of people below praising Lehigh Acres "diversity".

Maybe these two kids got a dose of that diversity at school and it made them want to strike back.

I just want to point out that I see some civil liberties issues with this. I think the type of evidence that was cited has some issues with it, and the evidence is weak.

Very likely they were just kids playing around and talking about doing something like that but who were not serious about doing it.

But school officials and law enforcement are paranoid these days. The kids are probably just innocent and being subjected to this because the authorities are paranoid and fearful. Individual rights are getting thrown out the window.

No one sees the problem here? Notice the idea "having weapons = going to commit an attack".

Just realize that gun owners are next on the list.

Having maps is evidence? My school gave us a map of the place. Are these surveillance cameras hidden? If they are in plain sight, how does it become "conspiracy" to note their location?

Gun owners have been on leftist hit list for 50 years.
As for letting a couple of kids amass an arsenal and not know why in an urban area is a problem.
If a kid wants a gun OKAY.
If a kid is getting guns off of the street ILLEGALLY not okay.
If some kids are amassing weapons illegally, NOT OKAY.

40 times is way too many for the cops to come to a kids house.
IF there was something wrong it should have been revealed within the first two visits.
1 Is a problem 2 is time to check things out THOROUGHLY and the detectives should have found out what was causing the problem.
I would also think it was bullying and harassment by the self appointed "social elite" of the school.
I was always a fighter because My father was in the army and we moved about every 12 to 18 months and I just beat the hell out of the "Prep punks" and anyone who gave me any shit in school NO QUARTER type beating,,, and made them respect the space between them and me.
I had more problems with teachers because of cliques than I did with the punks but most kids are not equipped to handle it and are pressured hard by the staff who favor the cliques, and the cliques themselves.
That type of kids have no place to turn and lose self esteem to a point where they feel their only way to have any standing in life is to do something that will make them be remembered forever!!
It is the same as the suicide pact, "I'LL MAKE YOU SORRY YOU TREATED ME THAT WAY!!!"

I'd like to know what type of guns they were. If the guns did not belong to someone else in the family and the parents did not know about it.

If it was a handgun, maybe we could understand the concern. Not normal for a child that age to have one.
If the gun in question was simply a single-shot rifle, then it is totally outrageous that the children were arrested.

That's true, but I believe it is not necessarily fair to judge children by past domestic police involvement. We don't know the circumstances.
Children are not always the ones that were in the wrong when police are called. Sometimes police are called against children when they do something that's very understandable given the circumstances they were faced with.
