Peeping Tom suspect shot to death outside north Houston home

Good results. Perp would be free in a day, if caught, and emboldened by the lack of justice to go on to bigger more violent sexual crimes.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man suspected of creeping outside a north Houston home was shot to death Friday by a woman inside, police said.
It happened around 11 p.m. in the 8900 block of Irvington near the Hardy Toll Road.
The woman told police she saw the man looking into her bedroom window. That’s when she got her rifle and opened fire through the wall of the home.
The suspected peeping Tom took off running but collapsed and died near the house.
Investigators said the woman believed she was in danger and opened fire in self-defense.

I hope it's confirmed that he was up to no good.

I don't think a male would get away with that excuse to shoot through the house at someone outside.

maybe if the man outside had a gun and the occupant believed he was aiming it.

    Of course!

The imagination of a woman in fear, alone, at night, probably watching a horror show could be endless.

This. Shooting willy nilly through a wall isn't exactly self defense. At all. In any circumstance.

If a man looks at a naked woman in a window he's a peeper. If a woman looks at a naked man in a window he's a flasher.

A man was raging and waving a rifle and threatening to kill the window peepers who kept looking in his windows. A couple of nights later I was working midnight shift and it was a slow night. I parked down the alley and stood in some bushes and watched all three of his daughters strip naked to go to bed. Then I knocked on his door and told him that if his daughters would close the curtains he probably wouldn't have a problem. He wanted me arrested for looking. The girls knew full well what they were doing and their goal was to wind up their nutty dad.

I was sent on a prowler call on night and I parked one street behind the victim's house. I cut through a yard and some shrubbery, it was an older part of town with mature bushes, and I saw a man looking in a lighted bedroom window. I walked quietly up behind him and as I approached I could see a naked woman on the bed. I grabbed the guy. He screamed. She screamed. He demanded to know what I was doing and the woman was asking what was wrong. The man was the woman's husband and they both seemed to enjoy the game. I nodded and said I had to investigate complaints. "Who complained?"

"One of your neighbors saw you."
"Oh, shit. Take me away, officer. I don't want them to know it was me." I handcuffed him, marched him off to my cruiser and released him a block away so he could sneak home.

I guess he's lucky a neighbor didn't shoot him or that I didn't just shoot him when I saw him.

My question for dummy would be, what would you do if a police officer pulled up and shot an unarmed, non-threatening window-peeper?
