Millwall is a professional football club (soccer for us colonials) based in Bermondsey, London, England. The team was founded in 1885 on the Isle of Dogs in East London, and moved south of the Thames River in 1910. Millwall's home field for 83 years was in New Cross, London, until they moved to their current home in 1993.

Millwall broke new ground in 1993 by building the "New Den" as the first football ground in England to be "all seated". Previously, there had been a terrace section at soccer grounds, which were standing only. Following the tragic Hillsborough Disaster in 1989, terraces went out of fashion, and are currently outlawed, although there is a push for "safe standing" designs.

Why should you support Millwall?

Well, they stick to fundamentals. Some of their formations are what we in the USA would call "textbook".

No one likes them, and their supporters don't care. This is sung as a chant at every match, home at the Den or away.

Millwall's fans have a history of being politically incorrect, which is awesome in a place like England.

Millwall plays in the English Football League Championship, which is the second level of soccer in England.

There really is no comparable entity in the USA. The Championship is not top flight (Premier League), but neither is it minor league.

Some people believe it to be the most competitive league in Britain.

Anyway, in their first game of the 2021-22 Championship season, Millwall tied Queens Park Rangers, 1-1.

I'd like to like soccer but the fans are all Gen Z cucks, I'm not sure I'd be able to relate to them if I went to a game, it'd be a stadium full of nazis who'd demand I wear something anti American in order to get in, maybe a Che t-shirt, maybe a red star of China shirt, just dress flamboyantly gay, but don't wear a maga shirt, I'd bet money I wouldn't be allowed entry.
