Time for a Millwall update.

I realized that a match by match posting wouldn't be much interesting about a team 3,000-6,000 miles away from people in a U.S. based forum.

Millwall has played 13 regular season Championship matches and has 4 wins, 6 draws, 3 losses, and a total of 18 points. They are safely ensconsed mid-table in 11th place in a 24 team field.

That is quite respectable. They are 5 places out of a playoff spot, and well out of relegation range (22nd and below).

Some updates on Millwall.

They are currently 10th in the Championship table after 38 matches, with 8th to go.

They have 57 points, and are in range to crack the top six (and a playoff spot) but they have to win, from here on out!

They play 4th place Luton Town tomorrow at Kenilworth Road.

Also, Millwall got knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round, losing to Crystal Palace on January 8.

CP plays Chelsea in an FA Cup semifinal on April 17.

After a rough outing against Swansea earlier in the week, Millwall beat Barnsley convincingly today (yesterday in UK) to remain in striking distance of a playoff spot.

They are now in 9th place in the Championship, just 4 points out of 6th place.

All they need to do is win!

Do they fake injury, stick their chest out at the ref, cry like baby's and deliberately hack down an opposition player heading for goal? If so I ait interested. If they have the self discipline and maturity Brian Clough's team had I will watch them.

Millwall has had a great season. They play their final game on May 7 against Bournemouth.

They are in 8th place with 69 points.

A win will put them in playoff contention, but they probally need Middlesborough, Luton Town, and Sheffield to lose.
