Patrick does have somewhat of a point. There are lots of groups in America that are proud of their heritage and wave another countries flag. Such as FOE, Polish club, etc. I think the difference is you don't see them wrapping themselves in another countries flag and going to graduation ceremonies. It just makes them LOOK ungrateful. Whether or not they are we don't really know.

Maybe, if you consider Mexican pre-Spanish.

Origins of the Taco. As you might know already, the taco originated in Mexico, specifically in the lake region of the Valley of Mexico. Anthropological evidence shows that tacos predate the arrival of the Spanish in Mexico.

If he hasn't YET, then a full psychological evaluation is certainly in order, given the countless number of HS "students" shooting out their "anger" in this nation. Because he's a ticking time bomb at worst, and hates this nation at THE VERY LEAST.

So bugger off with your sympathy...

Pretty racist response to lay on a HS kid. What would be your response to a HS with an enrollment of 5000, and 62% Hispanic?

Obviously, you have no knowledge or expertise regarding America's Latino community. You are a bigoted racist, with what, less than 400 posts on file?

When you do some research on, oh, something like probable cause - a legal term needed to detain someone - instead of just saying he needs a psych evaluation, and is shooting up schools, perhaps some people will take you seriously. Meanwhile - to me you are just racist, with no life experiences relating to Latino's and probably, we will discover, not much else.

When I lived out in San Diego, discovered quickly, how every strict Mexico is on immigrants - landed immigrants living there, people retiring there, people attempting to own property there (not permitted you need a sponsor); insurance regulations (without Mexican car insurance, which you better purchase at the border before entering), if you have a traffic accident, you go to jail, unless you can pay the damages on-the-spot and just about everything else pertaining to visiting and immigrating. Their political systems are pretty corrupt, but on dealing with foreigners - they are tougher.

There is a 50-50 chance that of the 11 million illegals in America, one is from Mexico.

And a 50% chance one isn't. Attending HS in America requires legitimate legal paperwork to be admitted. Transcripts; health records; permanent address in the district, things like that. If the kid managed to make it through four years of HS, or even if he transferred in later than the 9th grade, pretty good assumption can be made that he probably is in the U.S. legally. They don't give you a pass on the legalities when it comes to documentation for school in America.

Who are you kidding? NY, for one, doesn't give a rat's ass about immigration status and, in point of fact, instructs education authorities to not cooperate with immigration authorities.

As for the Confedrate Flag. Should be worn at graduation but I'm okay with the flag on you truck, your home, or your t-shirt. It's a part of our heritage just like the Mexican flag is part of Ever's heritage and the shamrock and harp are part of mine.

I have no problems with the Confederate Flag being displayed, as long as it isn't over government buildings.

It is part of Americana history, but so is the Mexican and Spanish flags. Both held territory in America at one time, we either bought them out of that territory - or fought them out of that territory. Completely understand why the Black community has a problem with the Confederate flag, because those who fought under it, advocated slavery, although the great majority of the Confederate army in the Civil War, were small farmers who held no slaves. Irish shamrock and harp flag? Was the flag of the famous Union Irish Brigade, which I believe was destroyed at the slaughter at Fredericksburg, Virginia by Lee's well placed canons, which they foolishly charged.

Mexico isn't attempting to overthrow American institutions - but we allow BLM and Antifa to fly their flags, and both have caused massive damage rioting in American cities, with the support and admiration of the once great Democratic political party. Flying the LDBTQ flag, the Rainbow flag? The Cuba flag. So what? These are not the majority of American's who support them - we are the quiet Trumpers awaiting a return and know the left won't succeed.

All of this nonsense over a HS kid nobody knows here - voicing opinions of prejudice and animosity, without studying any American history or its legal systems. One young HS kid proud of his heritage? And look at the comments.

Personally, if we are going to ban any flag or symbol in America, I would prefer it to be the logo of the New York Yankee baseball team.

Way off topic. It is about an Hispanic HS kid displaying the Mexican flag, granted, probably inappropriately at a graduation ceremony, but big deal, it didn't hurt anybody and the school took a reasonable action. Just give him his diploma and forgetaboutit.

As for NY, assuming you are referring to NYC in particular, a city with a large, well established Latino-Hispanic culture and population?

Most people in America don't give a rats about NYC - in fact, we would probably be better off without the place being in America.
The town, and its population suck, big time, all the time.
