They will just fill the ranks with gang members is all; many gangs already require newbies to join the military now, and infiltrate law enforcement via girlfriends and relatives, and have for a while now, particularly biker gangs but now all of them try their hand at it.

Portland seems to always be in the news & I wonder why? I know that I have written them off & don't understand why everybody else hasn't. So I could care less about Portland as a city & the people that live there. I say that about the people because if any of them were smart they would have moved out long ago.

I see it as a cautionary tale and as a sign that Rome is starting to fall. Maybe if more people saw this kind of thing we wouldn’t have so many people supporting these social/communist ideas. This kind of cancer has spread too far as it is.

It's all part of their plan. All the police who can get out will get out, opening up slots for the jackboot thugs to fill the ranks. Once they are firmly in control, all the sudden the police will be our friends again and the commies will fund them as needed to keep the rest of us in their control. Just like they are doing with the military. In a few more years, it will be hard to find anyone in the military that joined up because they were a patriot who really wanted to defend the USA.

It is my opinion that police officers need to take a lesson from President Reagan and President Trump and bypass the politicians and form their alliances with the community. The overwhelming percentage of people in the community accept, respect, and even like the police but feel isolated from them.

On our department, I noticed a siege mentality with the officers who believed everyone hated them. When I considered the problem I realize that almost all the contacts with the public were negative. The citizens were angry, frightened, disappointed, and rarely happy. I tried to think of ways to reduce the number of negative contacts but you can't. it's the job. So, you have to build in positive contacts. The cops also feel isolated.

I detest unions in general and police unions in particular. They lie and I can also guarantee the union leaders meet or a least communicate with the politicians and executives in secret for their personal benefit. Not that they're worthless. They do protect the incompetent, lazy, corrupt, and brutal police officers.
