Who's doing corned beef this St. Paddies?

Going to try the insta pot version today with potatoes and cabbage.

Also picked up a loaf of Irish soda bread on which I will place kerrygold butter.

I will retain a small knife to prevent others from getting too close.

I got the potatoes and corned beef on low in the crock pot. It is an hour and half in. I will add cabbage at hour five and cook seven hours total.

We have an Insta Pot but have always used a traditional crock pot for Corned Beef on St Patricks Day. This year we are living in our 5th wheel RV while waiting for our house to be built and with little room in here, we're passing on the corned beef for the first time in years.

Wow, this is a revelation to me! I can't recall ever eating corned beef and never knew it was a St. Patrick's Day tradition! Interesting....

Thanks Kodiak! I always think of the unappealing corned beef in those little cans. I never knew it was a 'cured' form of brisket and we have always eaten brisket. Thanks for the information!

The stuff in the can is what is called as "deviled ham", I think.

You must be referring to Corned Beef Hash. I used to eat that with a couple fried eggs on top of it for breakfast on occasion. No more with my low carb low fat diet though. This is the first time since I have been married to my wife that she hasn't done a brisket for St. Pattys day though. 22 years now (I think).......lol
