I live in a town where I can get blue claw crabs by the bushel on a clear moonlite night . A crab shack had opened right on the dock where I used to do my crabing. One afternoon I had lunch at the place and the crab cakes were out of this world and they were sweeter that the crab I've been getting of the dock her business is on . I asked were the crab was from and she told me she drove into Maryland ( 12 hour round trip ) and only used Chesapeake Bay crabs and would never use the NY Great South Bay crabs . Big difference and delicious .
How did all those Woke Coke Cans get the tabs pulled open ?

She is 99, and doing well.

Yup @Authentic- its a small town and Walkers Point ( The Bush summer compound ) is just east of the inlet and that's a piece of land that juts out into the Atlantic . When I vacationed there Barbara was always in a small bookstore in the village and she used to drive throughout the place in a green mini van . There's a lobster restaurant up the road from the town that the family always ate in and you new they were there when the security was high and they stuck out like a sore thumb . They weren't imposing on people though , everyone is use to seeing them and the Bush family were just regular people ( not looking for attention).

Got an inside source from a major ak salmon company. Plus an open invite for hunting there, need a native to guide you.

I'm hearing from rock climbers now that I need ca and az mountain craw dads. Sad I say.

I do tend to favor sashimi and proper Hawaii poke. Plus or minus the Phillipines.

Hope you document and take notes about said experience, and share them. It's probably profound, but does not grow on trees.
