    Ground beef

How many different recipes can you use ground beef in?

Of course there is the traditional stuffed peppers or lasagna but ground beef is perhaps the most versatile meat on the planet. You can make dinners from the eloquent to the simplest of simple.

On the simple side I would make a "Hobo Stew" out of one can of Campbell's Vegetarian Vegetable soup (undiluted), a cup of rice and a half pound of ground beef. Pair with some biscuits and fried squash and you're set.

So, what is your favorite ground beef recipe?

Probably a big fat juicy hamburger is my favorite.

But meat and potatotes is always good. Ground beef, onions, diced potatoes (or shredded) and a small can of mushroom pieces, all fried in a cast iron skillet. Only butter as a sauce. Basically no sauce required. Served with corn on the cob. Yum.

Do the same with wild rice, not the rice with some wild rice, but all wild rice. Boil the rice first and then fry it like above. Yum.

Oh, bubbles and squeek is just as good with ground beef as it is with ground pork. The secret is keeping the cabbage "squeeky", so that recipe is more about the cabbage than the meat.

I think that you can use ground beef in almost anything. My wife buys LARGE amounts of it & cooks it all in a day. Then she measures it out & puts it in freezer bags. When she needs it for something a quick defrost & it's ready to be added. Cuts cooking time down for her.

My mom does the same thing!

I used to make Manwich with it but now since it assumes gender I can't.
    Maybe this would work...

So now the HUGE question: 73/27, 80/20, 85/15, or 90/10? (only a hamburgerphile will understand those numbers haha)
