Yep, any injury to the ankle and knee or 'anywhere' is so painful because it's carrying our big bodies. LOL, but thankfully we are all trim and slim and........ oh, heck with it, hahaha. It hurts!!

Took me a while to get on the bed because the pain was excruciating. I finally got some sleep and got up around 10 and hobbled into the living room. It was swollen pretty good and the wife talked me into going to the hospital. I have a broken fibula, broken in two places and I have to make an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon Monday. The ER doc said he didn't think I would need surgery. As of right now I have a splint on my right leg and foot and it hurts. The doc said he'd get me some hydrocodone and I declined that. Don't wanna get high on that crap and fall down. So he gave me some Tylenol 3 and hopefully that will take the edge off the pain some. I feel like a really big dumbass! 6 to eight weeks in a cast and very limited movement.

sorry to hear that...dont know what happened, huh...

Yeah we get along, all I recall is being asleep and then waking up on the floor. I toss and turn a lot and this wasn't the first time it's happened.

Ok, went to the orthopedic guy today and he looked at the foot and grimaced, and right then I knew I would need surgery. It was swollen up a lot and bruised and green and purple!! Went to get xrays taken again, and lo and behold no surgery required! yay! They put a pretty cool boot on it with a pump to push the insides out against my foot to take up the slack and it felt better already! He gave me 30 more Tylenol 3 and I should be good. I only take 1 or 2 a day anyway just to help me sleep even though the prescrip calls for one every six hours. I'm even getting a wheel chair and a shower chair! Lucked out! Life style changes coming up.
