The forum rules: "Please Tag Your Threads" But how and why?

I read all the rules but don't recall there being an explanation of how to tag a thread. Shouldn't there be a guide or clue as to where to go to find out how to do it and why it's necessary?

at the bottom of the thread you start, BEFORE you hit post, theres a line that says "tag" meaning title etc...by tagging your thread it makes it much easier to recall that title/thread and without a tag line, its near impossible...

anyway, its simple, quick and easy to do...

I thought there was a sticky on this from Trinn. Dunno if that somehow went when we got new upgrade.

Personally, I rarely generate threads (just the occasional personally written OP on something)...but I will tag some threads for the more prolific thread generators, cuz they would be pretty busy making all those threads, responding to them all for the most part etc.

Taking a couple of minutes to tag a few threads they might have missed isn't a hardship compared to all the effort they are putting into producing info for this site.
DuckDuckGo is a leftist, Soros sponsored and financial contributor to the collective left. They are the proverbial wolf in sheeps clothing. They present themselves as an option away from the corrupt Google, when in fact...they are only a contrived option that really just gives money, and takes money from our ideological enemies. Qwant appears to be an option. Spread the word.

As I understand it, a tag is a term that helps searchers find your information. For example, if you posted about angels, the tag line might contain "messenger of God, anthropomorphic, winged being, spirit, inspiration, aid to prophecy, good angel, bad angel, conscience, spiritual force, pure mind" and so on.

And anyone can tag anyone else's thread at any time. It's all there at the bottom of the viewed page. I tag other people's untagged threads all the time.
I think the limit is 15 tags.

I remember Trinnity urging us to Tag our threads a number of times. I even asked if I could put my own name in the tags to make it easier to find my posted threads - yes, and it does. I also remember one of the first times I tagged a thread and then went to Google and it was the top link on Google at that minute. Lol, it was surprising!!
