After I die my wife has already said that she is going to plant me. Then after a few years she is going to sell drilling rights to my grave to a natural gas company & buy a new car with the money. (wink).

It basically uses caustic alkali chemicals to burn and dissolve your dead body into a wet slurry.

It would be similar to being dissolved in acid, except alkali (which is like the opposite of acid) is actually much more efficient at burning and dissolving organic tissue than acid is.

They try to dress this up to sound like a pleasant environmental alternative to cremation, but actually it is pretty gruesome.

How about freeze-drying? Then seal in plastic...and you can play Weekend at Bernie's forever, in your grandchildren's home.
