If I run out of gasoline for the truck, I can still use textured vegetable protein, smoked herring, black beans, wheat, and sugar for fuel.

    What kind of bike?

The Swiss used bicycles until 2003.

I’m found of the stoutness of Surly bicycles. This resource will be good to follow. The concept of bikepacking is what you want to follow for a bugout rig.

All the doodads add complexity of trail repair and more crap to breakdown. The 40+ guy raced Canada to Mexico on the Great Divide race on a single speed.

E-bikes are illegal? What crazy rationale could the Nanny State there have for that stupid rule?

If this gets really dark, I have 25 gallons of gas in reserve. That should run a 250 dual sport MC for about a year.

makes no sense. maybe people were running into pedestrians in the city and they applied the law to the whole state. Too bad because I would get one. Everything I need is within E-bike distance.
