Ask yourself: "what can I do to help?"

I saw this today and it made me cry and I'm so upset about it...

Panic buying and nothing left. She was crying.

Just seeing that is deeply disturbing.

I've given away a lot of fresh eggs to friends and neighbors in the last few weeks and it occurred to me something I can do. Tomorrow I'm calling the county food pantry and the Loaves and Fishes people too. I'm going to offer them eggs.

Also, today I saw a commercial for the Red Cross asking people to donate blood. I'm calling them too to see where to go. I'm universal donor, so I really should.

Those of us who can, let's see if we can brainstorm some and all try to di something. Anyone got any more ideas?

Be cautious, be smart, don't panic.

The more of us that act responsibly the better it is for society as a whole.

I will never take the last of any item on a grocery shelf. And when I do shop, I take only what I need.

Is anyone figuring out some way to help? Anyone? Donating blood is not that hard.

    Take some of these:

Put a few of them into these when you go out:

Casually wipe down things like elevator buttons, door handles etc in your travels. Most people you run into while your are doing, express their appreciation and think it is very productive and helpful.

People are then more apt to do a similar thing themselves, in the course of their day.
"I told you the economy was going to tank under Trump". "Yeah you did. Pre Pandemic". "It was going to tank even without the Pandemic". "Uh-huh. Trumps economy was hitting it out of the park Pre Pandemic." <---My cut and paste time saving signature - for all the doom and gloom predictors who will try to rewrite history.

A little good news...called the Loaves and Fishes in town and on Wednesday, I'm taking them all the eggs I have. I think I can manage 15 dozen by then. I have 5 doz in cartons (cartons are hard to come by and they're not cheap) and the rest can go in boxes. Next I'm calling Red Cross.

Any of you remember Hurricane Andrew? I put up 2 envelopes at the office (diagnostic center/xray) in the break room (one for Red Cross and one for Salvation Army) for over a week, maybe 2 weeks, put a $10 check in both and do you know, in an office of xray techs, transcriptionists, U/S techs, CT tech (me), phlebotomists/lab techs, and several radiologists (and they make the most money, btw), office mgt, etc etc., at least 20 people - and not one of them donated a penny. Not one penny. It's not like they were poor. What the f is wrong with people? I'm more upset about people running out of food than you can imagine. This is America, dammit. If shithead Schumer and Pelosi can't get off their asses and help, I sure can. I can do these two things.

I'm really pissed. The dems really pissed me off with their political opportunism. Shame on them. Man, I'm really pissed.

I don't plan to go to town today, but thought to start a list, and call around to a few neighbors - especially the elderly ones - to check on how they are, and if they might need something I could pick up for them.

Another thing. The mail is still running. Brighten someone's day, by writing him or her a letter. If you've got grandkids, they'd be delighted, and feel awfully special, to get a note just for them, from Grandma or Grandpa.
Sisters, brothers, friends, Vets... If you've nothing better to do, (the rain here won't quit), do that, maybe.

It'd sure be nice, if that were more infectious than anything.
