opened some cans of prepped food

Freeze dried tomatoes from ESSENTIALS .
I was concerned that the can so light that there wasn't much in the #10 can. So the can wasn't full but there was a lot in there. And it's pretty good for adding tomatoes to food.... obviously not slices on a hamburger but just wherever pieces and puree would suffice.

Canned butter from Red Feather. All I'll say is that this stuff is great. It's now more than doubled in price on Amazon though. I kept some cans in the frig but it does not need refrigerated.

various canned fish. King Oscar Skinless and Boneless Mediterranean Style Mackerel Fillets are good. MW Polar Herring, Kipper Snacks are good. I have various brands of sardines but I can't get over the fishy taste. horseradish helps though. They are foods of last resort!

Eden canned black soy beans. Drain the gelatinous stuff off and rinse... similar to canned kidney beans .... and they are really good. Real keto food, unlike regular black beans or pintos or kidney beans, which are nutritious but high in net carbs.

I saw those online...freeze-dried in the #10 cans. Meat and vegetables both. The company selling them was selling military surplus, but the prices were anything but cheap.

I expect food sourcing will become an issue in the months ahead, but I also expect delivery services to become spotty.

We bought a bunch of dried prepper food during the Obama era. Hope we don't have to use it in the Trump era.

I dehydrated tons of maters last year and I'm going to do the same this year. Less cost and work than canning. They rehydrate well, retain their flavor, color, taste and are great for sauces and cooking in general. Sun-dried tomatoes are rather expensive in the store.

I haven't had a fresh mater sammich for months.

Every time I buy them they seem to 'go bad' quickly.
Before they really 'go bad' I chop them up and throw them in the freezer.

I finally decided to go to the store since I had to go out anyhow. got some fresh tomatoes and some fresh cherry tomatoes too. I eat em up in about two weeks. maybe by then, Trump will have resigned and Daddy gubment will be giving what's left of tomatoes away to those who vow loyalty to the new socialist regime.

I haven't bought a tomato in a store in decades. I refuse to buy those tasteless rocks.

    Rub it in!

Remember to salt those maters a bit before you 'et them.
