Much like firearms, there is no one knife for all purposes. I have 2 categories of knives I use, pocket knives and hunting knives.

My Knives of Alaska set will last my lifetime. They're perfect for big game in the field.

I know they're real popular with most people and I'm in the minority on this but I've never cared for liner lock knives.

Everyone should have at least one scandi grind.
How does that compare to Mora knives?

I got the perfect knife from the 99 cent store, 12 years ago. It's a stout 4 " serrated steak knife. I bought a dozen, and some are unopened.
My lock blades came from Wally's. 50 cents. Believe and do whatever you want.

I noticed that right off, the serrations. If I want a knife I want a knife, If I want a saw, i will get a saw...

I'm very satisfied with my 20$ EDC, never leave home without it. Secure pocket clip, nice edge, one finger easy opening. CRKT M16=01KS

I took a look at that one and it uses AUS8 steel which is pretty good stuff, it can reach Rockwell 59C hardness and is still tough but sharpenable. Nice choice.

Best cheap do-it-all knife with quality steel...

    Old Hickory 7" Butcher knife
    1095 Steel
    $12 at SMKW

The Bushcraft community finally latched onto these and apparently they are selling well.
I have had one, that I made a sheath for, since I was a teenager.

What are you talking about? That is the original bushcraft knife. Cowboys and trappers used it. It was a bushcraft knife before the term existed. Go to a mountain man gathering and you see those in the majority.

I've no complaints. Along with my NEBO rechargable pen light, cell phone and keys and smokes and wallet, It's on my dont leave home without, kit. I'd be interested to see a better, 20$ knife.

I see other models that look the same but run 40-60$.

I'm sure they are a higher quality of steel, sweet, no doubt
