The Mexican drug cartels are the biggest foreign threat to the USA and finally we have a President with the courage to say so and take action!

trump offered to make war on the cartels, but the mexican president said he'd handle it.

one wonders when obrador intends to begin, given he finds war to be irrational.

The problem is this, the United States senate and I really mean this, is in business with those cartels, or paid off by their Mexican governmental counterparts who are, and that folks is precisely why that border remains wide open! There are but two possible avenues with which to eradicate these murderous Mexicans, send in everyone, army, marines, and airforce, then annihilate the cartels and any civil population favorable to them, then annex northern Mexico permanently, and absorb it into the United States permanently! Absent the resolve to do that, you have one option remaining, legalize it all!

How do you figure it is your business to say what people can or can't consume?

While I believe the Federal government lacks constitutional authority to make drugs legal or illegal, the horrendous murders are not a reason to legalize drugs. But it is a reason to mobilize for a war with Mexico.
