any ideas you have on creating my profile picture would be fabulous, or is your rutabaga called an avatar?

To me 'progressive' has a basic meaning from the root word 'progress' but a specific political meaning assigned in the McCarthy Era.

'Forward' I think of as being from 2014 onward as applied to Industry 4.0 but others might apply it to the post 1975 economy.

In a previous forum I attempted to get people to agree on just the meanings of the two terms 'Left' and 'Right' and failed completely so I have given up on terms altogether and now I assume all terms have only a local meaning within a specific context.

I'm easy to talk to, it's just that terminology in particular has given me a lot of grief since coming to the US so I tend to avoid it when ever possible.

in todays political context, "progressive" means "regressive" as demonstrated by the call for discrimination, sexism and separation of the races [segregation] we see from the political democrats/progs.

my avatar was found by trinnity when i asked if she could help me in my search...


imo, my generation had their time at the helm, now its turn others to either make it better, or ruin it for everybody...whatever comes to be, i wont be around to see it...


in other words, shit happens, and it will just have to happen w/o me.

socialism works great for 20 years or so,,,always has,,,but then eventually, you run out of other peoples money...i'll be around for the good times...the future generations will pay for it.

i'm just along for the ride.

It's Andrew Yang's PAC. They want universal basic income and universal healthcare. They are basically Democrats but call themselves "non-partisan".
