A senior cabinet minister has denied the Conservative Party has a problem with race after accepting at least £10m from a donor who is accused of racism.

Transport Secretary Mark Harper told the BBC he was in "the most ethnically diverse cabinet there has ever been".

Mr Harper said his party welcomes members "whatever their race".

Donor Frank Hester apologised after reportedly saying ex-Labour MP Diane Abbott made him want to "hate all black women" and that she "should be shot".

The party has refused repeated calls to return Mr Hester's money (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68554476), despite labelling his alleged comments as "racist" and "wrong"

Both Labour and the Tories have problems with racism, Labour suffer from antisemitism.

Does 'racism' have to be defined as a crime in order for these accusations to hold any worth?

Or be used in media articles?

As far as I can see it can only be used as the 'motivation' of a crime.

When people get mad or drunk they say things they shouldn't. Sounds like he lost his temper in public. Did he?

Apparently Dianne Abbot has reported the incident to the police... let's just wait and see?

Trinnity Yes Dianne Abbot is one of the most hated Labour MPs, she is an embarrassing to every black woman in the country. Corbyn and her are little Trotskyites, they and others within the party openly support Hamas and the forceful liberation of Palestine.

Frank Hester was perfectly right in saying what he said, every person of my generation would agree with him. But! Not said it in public.

Apparently these remarks allegedly made by Hester were spoken 5 years ago.Hester has just donated £10 million to the tory party and it seems some bright eyed labour mole with a phenomenal memory has recall the comments to embarrass the tories and force them to return the donation.
