The UK's intelligence, security and cyber agency GCHQ (https://www.itv.com/news/topic/gchq)has released a puzzle to get the attention of potential new recruits who can "think out of the box".
The visual puzzle is asking people to identify the letters contained in the picture before putting them together to reveal a hidden message. There are 13 elements, each representing letters of the alphabet.
Created with Manchester-based artist Justin Eagleton, GCHQ said the puzzle has been designed to appeal to people who "process information differently and possess strong lateral-thinking skills".
The agency has also said it is releasing the puzzle to mark the launch of its page on LinkedIn

It's only 6 miles away from me.., ideal job, I'll try and crack it.

I don't suggest swanning around G.C.H.Q. roundabout. They'll spot you doing it.

Sorry, I lived outside Painswick before moving to the U.S.

Arhhhhh, ah no. :)

Painswick was the great motorcycle park for us, we'd go scrambling everywhere up there.

There never has or will be a box...

Why doesn't everybody know that????

Then again, I got 105% grade in University Logic class. Life is weird...

OK where to start

Russian chopper hoisting an old TV with an image of a computer from about 1955.

Hands signal 5552.

First building: :"Beach" shop

Second Building: Thinking across from a church.

Only months that start on a Friday in 2024 are March and November...

Beach and blue water in the foreground, with a beach chair and a crusty rock.

Red light stops for sheep.

The Vacancies sign is obvious

Another numerical: three white road stripes, then 5 black

Don't, know who the dude in the upper right is, but I would guess Turing.

Golf club girl is probably a location clue, Although it looks like a nine iron shot. Not being from the UK, that does not help.

Sign post with city names gives one 5 points on the map to pinpoint a map location.

The Love shit is confusing, I just assume it means that it is open to anyone.

The cars are interesting as they generally increase in price from Right to Left.

All human figures female except the "inspector" with the magnifying glass.

My guess: This is a conference, or interview, or competition announcement. Embedded in the image is the IP number of where to start. Hackers stop at the door. The first three hacks are free, then they start watching. Clearly the purpose is to combat the Russians and break codes.

The thirteen letters are not letters, they are an IP address.

Just a first guess.

Another possibility is a URL. e.g. "gchq.gov.uk/????"

That would be a little like: Remember to drink your Ovaltine...

There's no box but the one in your head. GCHQ doesn't talk about the codes which may or may not exist.

"I cannot confirm or deny" is U.K. Government security speak.

"Broadsword calling Danny Boy....' is better.

I used to play that from thea cassette player I set next to the mike at Nato Communications Headquarters as much as I could.

It took a few people to recognise it (mostly Americans ironically enough).
