During his recent budget speech our esteemed chancellor,amongst the rest of his largesse,announced £1 million would be set aside to provide for a war memorial in memory of muslim troops during 2 world wars.
Up until now I thought fallen soldiers had been buried in plots together irrespective of religion and skin colour.

IMO ... the UK War Graves Commission sets the gold standard in caring for fallen military men and women. I hope that never changes.

When I lived a couple of blocks away from Royal Hospital Gardens in London (which I believe is what the cemetary is actually called) there was segregation by religion.


Maybe that's because they were mostly Christian.
